Bacon Wrapped Mozza Dill Pickles
Tailgating, finger foods, game eats and camping food cheers for Bacon Wrapped Mozza Dill Pickles!
Equipment
- baking rack
- baking pan/ sheet
- Smoker/ Grill/ BBQ
Ingredients
- 2 oz mozzarella cheese
- 12 dill pickles 1L/ 32 oz jar
- 12 bacon strips
- Your favorite spice rub
Dill Pickle Dip
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
- 1 tablespoons freeze dried dill
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon V-cut pickle seeds (from prep) minced
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella cheese into ¼ to 3/8” width and 2” lengths
- Slice pickles in half lengthwise.
- On each side of the pickle, slice a V to cut out the soft part of the pickle with seeds.
- Insert the mozzarella cheese between the pickle halves.
- Use a bacon strip to wrap around the pickle and place on a rack onto a baking sheet.
- Generously sprinkle on your favorite spice rub.
- Feel free to set aside pan of wrapped pickles in refrigerator until ready to cook
- Warm up smoker/ BBQ/ grill to 350F.
- Cook pickles on one side for 15 minutes.
- Flip pickles on the other side for 10 minutes.
- Flip pickles another 10 minutes until bacon is sizzling on the outside.
- Mix and serve with Dill Pickle Dip for extra zing.
