Warm up a large frying pan on medium high heat with sesame oil.
Once oil is warm, add garlic cloves and cook until caramelized, 1-2 minutes.
Add green beans to the hot pan, toss and cook until beans start to brown, 5-8 minutes.
Place a lid onto frying pan and allow the green beans to steam for 5 minutes.
Toss green beans and cover the frying pan again until the green beans are a bright green and are tender crisp, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the white miso paste, water and sugar into a thick sauce.
When green beans are tender crisp, pour the miso sauce onto the beans. Sprinkle (to taste) Taekyung Red Pepper Powder onto the green beans.
